San Jose is lucky to have a local store for beekeeping supplies that also offers classes and good advice. Be sure to ask about Mr. Carrier's books on bee keeping as they relate more to the weather in the valley than places where the winters are cold. It is located at the corner of Moorpark and Baywood. Ring the bell if nobody seems to be there or the door is locked (if they sign says it should be open).

Although located in IL there are branches in California that saves on shipping for many items (web orders will not show this at the time of the order but will be reflected on the invoice). They send a paper catalog once you have ordered from them.
