Education and Public outreach

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Guild members are not currently available for in-person outreach and education. Beekeepers may be available for virtual education sessions for schools. Click on the Speaker Request Form button below.

A primary purpose of the Guild is to increase public awareness and understanding of bees, and their importance as pollinators. We are happy to share with others our love of bees and our concern for bees' sustainability.

Guild members volunteer as educational speakers for schools, youth groups, service clubs, and organizations or corporations. Members also staff tables with demonstration hives, bee literature and honey sales at public informational events, exhibits and fairs. We will bring hive equipment, photos, honey samples and usually a portable, but contained, observation hive with live bees. A crowd pleaser!

To have a member of the Guild speak to your group or classroom please fill out a speaker request form by clicking the link in the green box below. Please allow three weeks prior to your event to schedule a speaker. Our speaker coordinator will be in touch with you.
